Michael Frech has over 15 year’s construction experience in project management, estimating and operations. Michael spent 10 years of his career as an Estimator/Project Manager for an exterior subcontractor specializing in E.I.F.S. During his tenure he received his Third Party E.I.F.S. Inspector Certificationfrom AWCI. Michael’s work in residential custom home building gave him experience working simultaneously with multiple trades, managing time lines, budgets, schedules and expectations. Prior to coming to Hayden, Michael worked for a local roofing contractor managing all aspects of the business and projects from estimating, business development, project management and operations. He also received his Certificate of Knowledgein Photovoltaic’s from NABCEP. Michael received his undergraduate degree from Villanova University and is currently attending NYU for his Masters in Construction Management; he is due to graduate in the summer of 2011.
James A. Aprile has worked in the roofing industry for 14 years, eight of which has been with Hayden Building Maintenance Corp. His educational background includes Rockland Community College where he pursued a degree in Business Management. James worked as a Senior Estimator for a nationwide roofing organization prior to joining the team at Hayden Building Maintenance Corp.
Craig Alper has worked in the construction industry for 23 years. His work history includes upper project management positions in the fields of Industrial Asbestos Abatement, Roofing, Masonry and Historical Restoration, in both the Northeast and Florida. Craig was instrumental in the timely completion of a number of projects in excess of $10 million dollars at the United Nations Headquarters as well as a $12 million dollar masonry/roofing project at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Craig holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Adelphi University, Garden City, NY. He has earned certifications in Built-up Roofing, OSHA and Concrete Repair.
John Buckley has worked in the roofing industry for 23 years. His commercial, industrial and residential roofing experience spans both new construction and re roofing, with all types of roofing systems. Positions held include Mechanic, Foreman, Service Manager, and Superintendent. John has received NRCA training for Superintendents and Foremen, OSHA Safety certification, and certification in scaffold safety.
Mike McWeeney has over 14 years of operational and roof safety training experience, including “train the trainer” forklift certification and OSHA Safety Certification. Mike manages the logistical functions of the roofing operations, and periodically attends seminars on rooftop safety sponsored by the NRCA.
Scott Pavignano, a second-generation roofer, is Hayden’s Roofing Inspector and Key Account Technical Supervisor. Scott has worked in the construction field since 1988, starting with carpentry and residential roofing, and has focused exclusively on roofing since 1994, when he started with Hayden. He has participated NRCA Superintendent and Foremen conferences, attended manufacturers’ training schools, and is certified by Carlisle. Scott specializes in the diagnosis and repair of difficult roof leak, and supervises the roofing work at key accounts in the highly-regulated and security-conscious pharmaceutical industry.
Krysztof Wojcicki has over 16 years of experience in the roofing industry. He has participated in Superintendent and Foreman Conferences by the NRCA and manufacturer's training school, and has taken NRCA’s built-up roofing training.
Gary Bruno is a second-generation roofer with over 33 years of experience in commercial and residential roofing. Gary has worked extensively with all major types of roofing systems, including built-up, EPDM, PVC, torch-down, shingles, slate and copper. He has earned manufacturer’s certifications with Johns Manville, Carlisle, Firestone, Polyglass, Certainteed, Ataz Metal, and GAF.
Ken Buckley is an experienced roofing foreman and a seasoned roofer. Since 1985, he has worked in all phases of roofing, including new construction, re-roofing and leak repairs. Ken is experienced in built-up roofing, slate, tile, PVC, torch-down, EPDM, coping and standing seam metal systems.
Teddy Kepka has over 18 years experience in the sheet metal industry. He has participated in Superintendent and Foreman Conferences by the NRCA and manufacturer's training schools, and oversees Hayden’s sheet metal mechanics.
Kevin Lyons is an “old school” specialist in residential slate, cedar shake, tile and copper roofs, with a commitment to the type of craftsmanship that is getting harder and harder to find. He owned his own business, Kevin Lyons Roofing Inc., for over 30 years before joining Hayden Building Maintenance in 2004 to run our specialty Slate and Steep Slope roofing business. Kevin has worked with Hayden Building Maintenance Corp. as a trusted subcontractor several times over the past 25 years.
Marcello Semeraro is an 11 year military veteran. He has been involved with safety and OSHA for over 8 years. He has completed 40 hours of OSHA construction safety and health training and 30 hours of roofing safety. Marcello stays current with OSHA Regulations by frequently attending different training courses provided by NRCA and other related organizations.
Peter Leonforte is the third generation of his family in the masonry restoration field. Peter started as a first year apprentice in the spring of 1976, advancing steadily step by step through a three year apprentice program, then on to a mechanic, foreman, project manager, estimator and senior manager. His portfolio includes many New York City landmarks and prestigious properties, such as The Plaza Hotel, The Waldorf Hotel and The Thayer Hotel in West Point. Peter’s education includes BAC Apprenticeship Program, NYC Special Rigging Foreman Certification, Scaffold Erection Certification. Peter continues to learn the latest systems and theories by attending RCI Exterior Envelope Consulting Classes and carries extensive knowledge of all the quality manufacturers and their products, as well. Peter brings 34 years of experience to every masonry project he does for Hayden Building Maintenance Corp.
Gary Gilley, is a second generation roofer with over 22 years of experience in commercial and residential roofing in Louisiana. Gary handles all aspects of the New Orleans office, from operations, estimating, marketing. Gary is certified with GAF, Johns Manville, Soprema & Siplast. He has participated in numerous NRCA training classes.

Hayden wins the Sika Sarnafil Low Slope Contractor Project of the Year Award. The project was a 163,000 square foot removal of an existing roof and the installation of a new Sarnafil EnergySmart PVC roof. The project schedule allowed only 2 months to complete the work and also had strict requirements including not interrupting any of the daily operations of the manufacturing facility.
