Location: The Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, NY – Student Recreation Center
A section of the flat roof contains an area that is a green vegetative roof. The garden is contained in tray systems. The garden contains multiple herbs – cilantro, basil, parsley & oregano. Mutliple types of lettuce including iceberg, romain, and bibb. Straberries, blueberries and blackberries are also grown. Each plant box has its own irrigation system. The fruits and vegetables are all used in culinary training of the chefs.
